Site Supervisor

Required as soon as possible:

NJC Grade D, scale point 7 £26,403

Hours: 37 hours whole year

The position is a split shift for 37 hours a week, working pattern in arrangement with the school. The post may require some occasional out-of-hour working.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Site Supervisor to join our staff team.

The post:

 Berwick Hills Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated person who would like to provide a key role in maintaining our school site, extensive grounds, and excellent facilities to ensure a welcoming, purposeful and safe environment for the whole school community. We are very proud of our building, so we especially want someone who will really care for our school, ensuring it looks its best, is safe and exemplifies the high expectations we have of our children.

We are particularly looking for a practical, hardworking, well-organised and approachable person for to join our team of passionate and committed staff.

 Are enthusiastic and well organised, have a positive attitude and a flexible approach to working.

  • Have the skills to carry out general repairs and maintenance tasks throughout the school.
  • Can prioritise work, and manage own workload and deadlines effectively
  • Have the ability to communicate with a wide range of people
  • Are passionate about delivering excellent customer services to all stakeholders
  • Are willing to participate in further training and developmental opportunities

 The role will include a wide range of responsibilities and duties connected with the fabric of the building, health and safety, grounds and facilities maintenance and security.

 Duties will include:

 Lock and unlock the school and carry out security checks on the buildings.

 Carry out and record statutory checks and help maintain Health and Safety records.

 Preparing and implementing risk assessments and any recommendations.

 Maintenance of property and grounds to a high standard including liaising with contractors.

 Monitor site stock and order supplies.

 Oversee the cleaning team

 Carry out repairs and maintenance above and beyond the scope of a competent DIY person, completing more specialist work as required.

 Willingness to attend training courses including Health and Safety.

 Have a commitment to safeguarding and well-being of children

 The successful candidate will be required to act as a key holder.
