In our English lessons, we have been reading The Snow Queen. We used the story as inspiration to write our own voyage and return narratives. As part of our learning, we used role play to recreate different sections of the story. We then looked at how to effectively use dialogue to advance the plot and included contrasting descriptions of summer and winter to create mood. Once we had drafted and edited our stories, we recorded ourselves reading them on an iPad.
